George has more than 25 years experience in the mining and metals industry and has held senior positions with Rio Tinto, including that of Managing Director of Base Metals Development and Managing Director External Affairs, Energy and Environment. He was previously CEO of Aldoga Aluminium Smelter Pty Ltd, and prior to that he co-led the A$1.5bn Comalco Alumina refinery Project.
